  • 9th Line Road Closure - Cachet Development Waldemar

    9th Line reconstruction works are scheduled to commence the week of July 31st, 2023; weather permitting. There will be a full road closure implemented to facilitate the above-said work between County Road 109 and Station Street. We anticipate that the full closure will be in effect till Sep 30th, 2023; weather permitting. 

  • Town of Mono - 30 Sideroad Road Closure

    The Town of Mono will be replacing a road cross culvert on 30 Sideroad, approximately 350 m west of Blind Line. The work is expected to commence sometime in August and take 2-3 weeks to complete, weather permitting. 

  • Grand River Water Safety Statement July 13 2023
    The Grand River Conservation Authority is issuing the following Watershed Condition Statement – Water Safety.
    A slow-moving weather system crossed the Grand River watershed overnight Wednesday, resulting in 50-70mm of rainfall in northern and central portions of the watershed. 
  • Notice to Public - New 4-way stop

    The Township identified concerns with the above noted intersection. The County of Dufferin completed a review of the intersection, a full copy of the report can be found in the May 25, 2023 report from the INFRASTRUCTURE & ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES

  • NOTICE: Council Meeting Cancelled for August 9 2023

    The August 9, 2023 Council meeting has been cancelled. Next meetings are July 19 @ 6pm and September 6 @ 9am.

  • Office Closure - Canada Day 2023
    The Township of Amaranth Municipal Office will be closed on Monday July 3, 2023

  • Waste Collection - Canada Day 2023

    There will be NO interruptions to waste collection over the Canada Day holiday. Please place all Garbage, Blue Boxes & Green Bins out for collection on your REGULAR collection day during the week of July 3rd. For missed collections, call GFL at 1.888.941.3345 ext. 1.

  • Blue Box Changes - July 1st 2023

    Starting July 1st Blue Box transition will be in effect. Circular Materials Ontario (CMO) will oversee the residential Blue Box program in Dufferin County. Please direct all residential recycling inquiries to CMO’s contractor GFL. 

  • Credit Valley Conservation - Flood Outlook Statement June 24 2023
    Credit Valley Conservation (CVC) advises that Environment Canada is predicting showers and localized significant rainfall in the amounts of 50-75mm.
    Heavy rainfall may cause pooling on roadways, flash floods and flooding in low-lying areas. Higher water levels will result in local streams and rivers becoming dangerous, especially in the vicinity of culverts, bridges, and dams. 
  • Pride Flag Raising June 1, 2023

    The Pride Flag was raised today at the Township of Amaranth Municipal Office. The Township proclaims June 2023 as Pride Month in the Township. The Township supports an inclusive and respectful community where all citizens can live, work and play in a safe environment.
