Road Closure/Freezing Rain - March 31 2025 UPDATED
Mono-Amaranth Townline is closed between 20th Sideroad and 25th Sideroad by police order due to trees obstructing the roadway.
20th Sideroad closed between County Road 12 and 4th Line by order of the Shelburne Fire Department due to a broken hydro pole and a downed tree on the hydro lines.
NOW OPEN - 30th Sideroad closed from 7th Line to 8th Line due to downed tree limbs obstructing the roadway.
There is Township wide power outages and downed tree limbs over the roadways due to the freezing rain.

9th Line reconstruction works are scheduled to commence the week of July 31st, 2023; weather permitting. There will be a full road closure implemented to facilitate the above-said work between County Road 109 and Station Street. We anticipate that the full closure will be in effect till Sep 30th, 2023; weather permitting.
The Town of Mono will be replacing a road cross culvert on 30 Sideroad, approximately 350 m west of Blind Line. The work is expected to commence sometime in August and take 2-3 weeks to complete, weather permitting.
The Township identified concerns with the above noted intersection. The County of Dufferin completed a review of the intersection, a full copy of the report can be found in the May 25, 2023 report from the INFRASTRUCTURE & ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES
The August 9, 2023 Council meeting has been cancelled. Next meetings are July 19 @ 6pm and September 6 @ 9am.
There will be NO interruptions to waste collection over the Canada Day holiday. Please place all Garbage, Blue Boxes & Green Bins out for collection on your REGULAR collection day during the week of July 3rd. For missed collections, call GFL at 1.888.941.3345 ext. 1.
Starting July 1st Blue Box transition will be in effect. Circular Materials Ontario (CMO) will oversee the residential Blue Box program in Dufferin County. Please direct all residential recycling inquiries to CMO’s contractor GFL.
The Pride Flag was raised today at the Township of Amaranth Municipal Office. The Township proclaims June 2023 as Pride Month in the Township. The Township supports an inclusive and respectful community where all citizens can live, work and play in a safe environment.
