    The Township of Amaranth does hereby proclaim February 22, 2023 as Human Trafficking Awareness Day to raise awareness of the sinister crime of human sex trafficking

    Black History Month Posters currently on display in the Town of Shelburne Town Hall until the end of February.  Please stop by to view the display Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm

  • Black History Month - Flag Raising February 1 2023
    The Township of Amaranth does hereby proclaim February 2023 as Black History Month. Whereas, Black History Month is an opportunity to acknowledge and honour the contributions of Black Canadians, both past and present and recognize their contributions made to the Township of Amaranth and Canada.
  • Call for Volunteers
    The Township of Amaranth Council is seeking Volunteers for the following Committees:
    - North Park Committee (30th Sideroad area in the North East section of the Township)
    - Waldemar Park Committee
    - Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Community Advisory Committee
  • Black History Month - Flag Raising 2023

    On Wednesday February 1st at 8:30am, the Council of the Township of Amaranth, in association with the Dufferin County Canadian Black Association (DCCBA), will recognize Black History Month by raising the Pan-African flag at the Township Municipal Office.

  • 2023 Budget - January 18, 2023

    The Township of Amaranth is starting to hold special budget meetings starting January 18th, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. Residents are invited to e-mail in or join the meeting with any ideas, comments or questions for Council.

    Thank you for attending the Inauguration Ceremony November 16, 2022. Welcome to the Township of Amaranth Council Members.
  • Inauguration Meeting - November 16 2022

    On Wednesday November 16, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. the Council of The Township of Amaranth will hold a public Inauguration meeting at the Municipal Office.

    Members of the public are invited to attend the Inauguration Meeting. 

  • 2022 Municipal Election Voting
    Electors will be able to vote remotely by phone and internet using their own devices in the comfort of their home. Advantages include less travel, removing time constraints and improved accessibility for persons with disabilities or people who are ill or away from home. The voting period for electors in the Township of Amaranth will be Friday October 14, 2022 at 10:00a.m. to Monday October 24, 2022 at 8:00p.m.
  • All Candidates Night

    The Amaranth Citizens Group will be holding an All Candidates Night at the Township Hall on October 13 from 7-9pm
