Fence Viewers Appointment - 3 Positions

The Township of Amaranth will receive applications for the position of Fence Viewers. The Line Fences Act provides a procedure, administered by the local municipality, for resolving line fence disputes between adjoining properties. Line fence disputes may be arbitrated by fence viewers when the owners are unable to reach an agreement when a new line fence is to be constructed or an existing line fence is to be reconstructed or repaired. Fence viewers will meet when required and will not have to set a meeting schedule.

Anyone interested in serving should apply in writing to the  undersigned, providing a letter of interest, stating their applicable background and experience. Application deadline is December 1, 2022 by 2:00 p.m. The term for all positions is 4 years, concurrent with the Term of Council, or as determined by Council.
