Road Closure/Ice Storm Clean Up -April 1 2025 UPDATED

NOW OPEN - Mono-Amaranth Townline is closed between 20th Sideroad and 25th Sideroad by police order due to trees obstructing the roadway.

20th Sideroad closed between County Road 12 and 4th Line by order of the Shelburne Fire Department due to a broken hydro pole and a downed tree on the hydro lines. 

NOW OPEN - 30th Sideroad closed from 7th Line to 8th Line due to downed tree limbs obstructing the roadway. 

There is Township wide power outages and downed tree limbs over the roadways due to the freezing rain.

Conditions are hazardous, please avoid travel if possible. 
If at home, please remain inside, multiple reports of people being injured while outside due to falling trees.

The County calls on our residents to prioritize safety as cleanup continues:

🌧️Do not call 9-1-1 for downed power lines unless lives are at risk. Call your utility provider for power outages or report online.
🌧️Trees and limbs on municipal right of way will be addressed by crews who are working in the community now. THANK YOU to the teams who are working to keep our community safe!

 If you lost power due to the #icestorm and are running a generator, remember to keep it away from your home. Never operate a generator in an enclosed space or indoors. To safely operate a generator, place it outdoors at least 20 feet away from your house, doors, windows and any other openings to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning.
