Building Permit Services - January 2025

As of January 1, 2025, the Township of Amaranth will offer building permit services to residents, businesses and developers. The Township is pleased to offer these services through the Cloudpermit platform - an online system to apply for and track your building permits.
The Cloudpermit building permit system allows you to apply for and to see the status of your application anywhere, at any time. You can start an application and finish it later, and receive email updates on the status of your permit application. You can even request building inspections!

Planning Notices

Blowing Snow & Road Condition Advisory – March 6, 2025 UPDATED

March 06, 2025

Driving conditions will be diminished today due to near zero visibility and blowing snow which will continue into Friday.
The Township is urging residents to restrict non-essential travel until the weather and road conditions improve.
There are some roads in the Township that have water flooding over the roadway which can be hazardous, especially if flash freezing occurs. Please use extreme caution.
9th Line between 5th Sideroad and Station Street is closed due to flooding over the roadway.
Mono-Amaranth Townline is closed from 20th Sideroad to 25th Sideroad by police order due to zero visibility.
Emergency Access Only for the above noted road closures.
With the recent warmer weather, the thawing and rain has caused many potholes on our roadways. Please drive according to the road conditions.
**The Roads Department will halting snow removal operations at 3:00pm today due to the wind, blowing snow and visibility conditions and will resume operations on Friday.
